Now that we’ve been married almost two whole weeks, I feel as if I have some advice to give those newly married kids out there. I may even write a book on my expertise.
1. Make sure you make your new husband some ‘getting home after work’ treats that he’ll enjoy. I made mine ‘protein popsicles.’ Make sure to cater to his unique needs.
2. He probably doesn’t want to decorate. Even if you get him to help, he’ll just suggest things you don’t like, and ignore anyway. This proves to be a whole new problem. Let him watch the game instead.
3. He really likes it when you bring him treats at work.
4. Hugs and words of encouragement are always a good idea.
5. When inventing new recipes, make sure not to mix up salt and sugar. It’s a bad, bad business.
So there you have it, the advice of a seasoned veteran in the marriage department. I can only imagine how many new pearls of wisdom I’ll be able to give at 4.5 weeks, I hear that’s a big mile marker in the marriage world.
p.s. I love my new husband.

This is Kaitlyn, once again posting for Joshua and I while Joshua is hard at work, but I get to do work of another sort. I spent the day in search of wedding gifts, that are quite the treat, and without giving too much away, the girls are going to be really excited! If Joshua could post now, he would most likely give a full account of how I have been talking all about the wedding for the last 3 weeks, which isn’t completely true, since I occasionally throw in the random comment about the weather or a delicious cupcake that I had eaten earlier in the day. However, I have been pre-occupied lately planning the wedding, and I am really excited becuase it is only 6 weeks away. Hope everyone is ready to dance!
Over and out –Kait

Since we’re not exactly married, or living in the same town for that matter, I can’t really begin chronicling the life of our newly married bliss. However, I would like to say how excited I am to be marrying such a crazy and wonderful man, and how thankful I am for the family and friends that are going to attend our wedding. Essentially, the only reason we decided not to elope to Morocco was because of how important our family and friends are to us. Celebrating with them was very important, and having your blessings in our new marriage imperative. I know not everyone has a support system quite like we do, and I feel your prayers and am thankful for your support.
I’ll be moving down to College Station to join that hunky man of mine right after the wedding, but for now, I’ll just chronicle the wedding planning process and the crazy life at the Posey household leading up to the nuptials.
Oh, and Thank you to Josh Hayden for setting up this beautiful website for us. He does beautiful things with computer codes.
